What would you do if you KNEW you could ALWAYS win?
I love solitaire on the computer. I think I could play it for hours and never tire. Its strategic, you have to think ahead and, to make it more exciting, I pretend that it is timed and I have to complete a game in less than 2 minutes.
If played with a deck of cards, the number of games possible is quite large, and of course, not all are winnable. It’s statistically impossible. I thought was also the case with the computer game - that not all were winnable. I was wrong. I read an article about it and it was designed that ALL games are winnable. Imagine that. KNOWING that the game you are about to play can be won.
Before I knew this fact, there were some games that I just could not get my head around. No matter which course I took, it just wasn’t there, so I quit and went to the next one. Because the foundation of my thoughts and, therefore beliefs, was that I may not win, I accepted the possibility of defeat. And sure enough, I lost. Many times. It’s what I believed would happen so of course it is what happened.
Then I read this article and very quickly I came to see how my beliefs were creating the losses. I believed I could lose so I lost! I saw so clearly how my thoughts created what I experienced. I saw that though a game was in fact winnable, I still lost some because I accepted that it was a possibility. Couldn’t blame this on anyone else – I was the one at the helm.
After I read this, I KNEW that ALL games were winnable and you know what? I started to WIN them ALL! Seriously. Every game I played, I played until I won. Then I decided to start at the beginning with game one, and play them sequentially, and play to WIN! That is what I am doing, and you know what? I am WINNING! (kinda felt like charlie sheen there for a minute! LOL )
What if I took this same belief into EVERY aspect of my life. What if . . . the premise of all my actions that was no matter what happened, or what I did, I could win? What if . . . every action I took was taken with the unshakable belief that I already won.
I decided to try this. First just for the most immediate action. Then for the next hour. Then I did it for a day . . . Now, I believe it for life.
Life is one big winners circle and I am in the center of it. Life is good!
